I collected sediment samples from Lake Tahoe in collaboration with the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center.

My research focuses on biogeochemical processes in soils and sediments. I am currently studying the effect of redox-active minerals on carbon turnover in floodplain soils. I am also involved in collaborative projects with researchers at Stanford University, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and the University of California, Davis.

Teaching & mentoring

My goal as a teacher to empower my students to take ownership of their learning and foster their curiosity to understand how the world around us works. I am currently learning and applying new pedagogical practices in the scope of the Postdoc Teaching Certificate at Stanford University.
